 ABOUT THE TEAM:

Team Flex consists of amateur athletes who are relatively new to the sport of adventure racing.

Team Flex’s objectives are:  1) Have fun, 2) Gain valuable experience in each training session and race event, 3) Continue to improve physical performance and race strategy, 4) Complete each race in a competitive standing, 5) Hey, winning wouldn’t be so bad either!
Team Flex thanks our sponsor, Titan Suppliments, for all the energy bars and drinks that keep us going on those long training sessions and especially on race day!

Brian and George thank our wives for allowing us to spend big bucks to beat up our bodies and our equipment.  Thanks also for nursing us back to health when we return home after each race.  Jacob wants to tell his mom not to worry, he’s in good hands, and he promises to give the older guys some respect!

The Adventure Junkies Racing Club was founded in January of 2002 by Dustin Gass of Houston, TX and Chad Knibbe of Spring Branch, TX.  Dustin and Chad entered their first Adventure Race in July of 2000 at the HiTec series race in Dallas.  They enjoyed it so much they decided to enter a whole season of races the following year.  They entered the Rattlesnake Racing series under the name Regulators.  After a rough start due to absolutely no orienteering skills, the Regulators eventually ended up taking Second place in the Sport division at the end of the season.  The team also found their way into several other adventure races along the way and qualified for the Nationals race in Florida with the Terra Firma series.  Dustin and Chad look forward to racing again this year and plan to promote the sport as well with the addition of a women’s team and a coed team to the Adventure Junkies Racing club.
