the race site is Haskell, TX. Haskell is a small town with a population of about
4,000 people. Haskell has one motel with limited space and oned bed and
breakfast. Haskell has two restaurants, three fast food grills and one steak house.
Haskell is a dry county and there are no liqour stores.
The nearest city to the Rock, Roll and
Rattlesnake Challenge is Abilene, Tx. Abilene is 65 miles from the race site and
offers a wide range of restuarants and hotels/motels.

City Park Camp Ground has showers and electrical Hook-ups.
Camping is free at the park before the race on Thursday night.
Camping at Race Site
A camping area will be
provided at the race site at no charge. Racers may begin arriving and setting up
camp in designated areas on Friday at 10 a.m. Camp sites provided for free at Lake
Stamford do not have electric.
Stamford Lodging
Stamford is a small town located 20
miles from the race site and has a Wal-Mart, Pizza Hut, Cliff House Restaurant, Sonic and
Mr. G's. Stamford has two motels, both have pools.
