Where is Haskell, Texas?

    Haskell is located 60 miles north of Abilene, TX on Hwy 277.  Haskell is about a 2 hour and 45 minute drive west from Fort Worth and just add about another 45 minutes if you are coming from Dallas.  The two main streets intersecting in down town Haskell are Hwy 277 and Hwy 380.  There are numerous ways to hit 380 from the DFW area.  A map will help you judge the best place to get on 380 from your starting position. 

     Austin is a 4 hour drive north and west.  If traveling from Austin, the best route is Hwy 183 to Brownwood.  In Brownwood take 279 to Cross Plains.  Turn left onto 36 in Cross Plains and continue to Abilene.  In Abilene take Hwy 277 straight into Haskell.

    Houston is about an 8 hour drive north and west.  From Houston travel to Waco and take Hwy 6 to Stamford, Tx.  In Stamford catch Hwy 277 into Haskell.

    San Antonio is about a 6 hour drive north.  There are many different routes that may be taken from San Antonio.  The best route depends upon which area of San Antonio you are coming from.

Primitive Race Site!

   The race site is on a ranch 15 to 22 miles from town.  There is no running water or electricity at one race site.  All campsites will be primitive.  Porta-potties will be provided.  Please bring all of your drinking water.
